Before I take you along on my journey, a certain foundation of basic knowledge should be established.
One of the most important tools is “Ho’oponopono” – a Hawaiian forgiveness ritual.
It is based on the insight that we are one with everything. That we are merely a mirror of our outside world. During this ritual, you forgive yourself and others for all the hurts that have ever taken place, and ask for forgiveness. Like the weekly house cleaning, only on a mental-spiritual level of cleansing. The following sentences are repeated continuously:
- I am sorry.
- Please forgive me.
- I love you.
- Thank you.
The outside world mirrors back to us situations and circumstances in which we still get to learn something. I can only react to a person if I go into resonance with them. I thus reflect the behavior of another person.
However, we have to become aware that every situation, every circumstance is initially neutral. It is only through our experience, upbringing and emotions that we give the situation a certain meaning/judgment. Ho’oponopono gives us the opportunity to take a step back and not judge anyone.
Never judge a person until you have walked seven miles in their shoes..
I can highly recommend the Ho’oponopono meditation in the meditation app Insight Timer.
